Job Purpose
  • Get an in-depth understanding of the company and the business.

  • Act as finance business partner, advice the eco-systems and support the decision-making by providing financial insights.

  • Oversee the financial sustainability and prioritization of investments, assess the impact ofdecisions in company performance and timely align the key stakeholders.

  • Engage the collaboration with Shared Services Centre team to manage company financials, secure internal compliance with ICFR controls and external compliance with local regulations (i.e.: audit, direct/indirect taxation, any other regulation).

  • Contribute to the Partner leadership of Business Planning and short/long-term Business

  • Review, in order to unlock opportunities and anticipate risks.

  • Required to collaborate with both internal and external cross-functional team members, as well as with external stakeholders.

Key Activities/Responsibilities
  • Work with relevant stakeholders in planning and budgeting, employ analysis techniques to facilitate shared understanding between the teams and the stakeholders.

  • Prepare and analyse ad-hoc/standard monthly management reports, fit-for-purpose and useful to enable continuous review process, support the decision-making and local needs of business and management.

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies and procedures on management reporting.

  • Ensure compliance to external regulations, policies and requirements, especially on audit and tax.

  • Work closely with Shared Service Centre to maintain the general ledger integrity for the commercial affiliate.

  • Contribute and lead in project teams to drive process simplification and improvement.

  • Assess and communicate local risks and opportunities to ecosystems and other relevant stakeholders in order to anticipate performance variances.

  • Drive financial awareness and Financial KPI delivery with local management.

  • Oversee the financial performance and timely engage business discussion and update EDP.

  • Support the preparation and evaluation of business cases and investment prioritization, including pricing schemes and product investment, from the perspectives of return on investment and financial opportunity.

  • Responsible for performing financial analysis and providing feedback/advice to relevant stakeholders.

  • Leading the Finance & Business Planning and Business Review processed with key stakeholders.

  • Perform all financial operations/activities required to run the business, as well as requested by Roche internal procedures and external requirements.

  • Coordinate all pricing issues (CIF, sample discounts under commercial programs and etc.) with Pricing (local and HQ). Closely monitor product CIF prices and selling prices.

  • Support month-end closing activities e.g. accruals, in close collaboration with Shared Service Centre.

  • Evaluate the timeliness, reliability and usefulness of records, documentations and reports, and suggest recommendations, for example standardized forms.

  • Provide compliance training to staff to keep them abreast of SOP changes, industry standards and best business practices.

  • Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time as required by business.

Expertise
  • Minimum 6 years of finance experience.

  • MNC experience within the pharmaceutical industry or finance experience in a major company or division of a larger corporation is a plus.

  • Business planning and analysis experience with business partnering mindset.

  • Solid financial and accounting knowledge.

  • Solid business planning and analysis skills.

  • SAP / other ERP system.

Education / Qualifications
  • University Degree or equivalent.

  • Business, Accounting or related qualification (CPA, CA, ACCA, CIMA).

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
