Description

The Accounts Assistant - Banking role will have duties and responsibilities:

  • Taking ownership of banking for site - allocating incoming cash and cheques
  • Responsibility for intercompany transactions and Group accounts
  • Reconciling and maintaining bank records as required
  • Processing all entries onto Group Banking systems
  • Ensuring compliance with company policy is adhered to for all transactions
  • Completing bank reconciliations, including entry of payments and receipts of sales - Monthly
  • Completing financial reports on a regular basis and providing information to the finance team
  • Process credit card payments
  • Weekly cash and credit card reconciliations to identify any variances
  • Any ad-hoc duties as required by the Line Manager






Profile

Desired experience and skill set for this Accounts Assistant - Banking role:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Part Qualified in either ACCA/CIMA/ACA or AAT Qualified
  • Previous experience of working in a similar commercial fast paced environment
  • Capable of working using own initiative to anticipate and resolve issues
  • Accuracy and excellent attention to detail
  • Highly analytical and numerate
  • Locally based in Bedford with your own transport
  • Flexible team player
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a busy environment to strict deadlines
  • Desire to improve processes and commit to the role for the next 2-3 years, growing within the position
