Fund Accounting Senior Officer (Real Estate and Private Equity)

Experienced Fund Accountant required to join a growing Fund Services team based in the City of London (close to Bank station). Responsible for the full accounting and administration of a protfolio of Alternative Investment Funds.

Description

Reporting to the Head of Funds, your duties will include:

• Actively setting up new funds including liaising with independent tax specialists and lawyers and notaries
• Overseeing the KYC and Client Due Diligence process
• Day to day operations of the funds and following up with 3rd parties including investors and fund managers
• Handling the fund accounts and preparation of periodic reports and regulatory reports for the fund entities
• Preparing the funds' periodic Net Asset Value calculation and year-end financial statements
• Management of the Audit and reviewing other fund related reports
• Preparing and reviewing drawdown and distribution calculation and notices
• Coordinate investor servicing including on-boarding, capital calls, distributions and issuing shareholder statements
• Participating in Board and Shareholder meetings
• Reviewing tax returns and tax balances and dealing with tax authorities
• Mentoring and reviewing work done by junior members of the team

Profile

Strong academic background

Part Qualified or Finalist Accountant preferred (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)

Knowledge and experience in Real Estate and / or Private Equity fund accounting is essential

Good communication skills, organised and flexible

Ambitious

Able to meet tight deadlines

Strong Excel skills
