Temporary Senior Management Accountant

Due to excess workload, my client requires a Senior Management Accountant on an initial 3 - 4 month temporary assignment.

My client is a nationally known Public Sector organisation.

Description

The Senior Management Accountant plays a key role in this organisation.

Reporting to the Head of Finance The Senior Management Accountant will be involved in the entire day to day accounting function and leading the process improvement for the Head of Finance. The Management Accountant will be part of the existing management accounting team. Both successful candidates will be very hands-on and enjoy a broad accounting improvement role.

Senior Management Accountant duties will include:

• Production of the monthly management accounts and Board Reports

• Cashflow management, control and forecasting

• Reconciliations oversight

• Liaison with Cost Centre Managers

• Providing leadership to a small team

Profile

The successful candidate must:

• Be ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified accountant

• have recent first-hand experience of substantive finance process improvement

• have good IT skills with Advanced Excel

• have a flexible approach but focused on delivering the required change

• have effective interpersonal skills with a positive outlook

• be keen to add value and ready to change what work is done each month

Job Offer

An initial 3 - 4 month temporary assignment

Salary c£250 - £300 per day
