Morgan Stanley is seeking a finance Vice President to join our Investment Management Account Services team supporting the Investment Management business.

The Morgan Stanley Baltimore office is a critical component of the Firm`s Global footprint and has 1,400 employees that provide support and services to the Investment Banking, Securities, Investment Management and Wealth Management Businesses.

Description of the Role

The Investment Management Accounting Services team (IMAS) is part of the Finance Division and supports the Investment Management business. IMAS provides daily and other periodic reporting for various products including; alternative investments, mutual funds, liquidity products and separately managed accounts. The individual in this role will work closely with various partner groups across Finance, Operations, Business Unit and Technology teams to deliver strategic change within the IMAS team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Partner with various groups in driving strategic and tactical projects forward to enhance internal controls, reduce process redundancies/inefficiencies, and comply with financial/regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and manage workflows related to implementation of new/enhanced processes, automation/coordination of various data streams, and integration amongst reporting systems.
  • Provide support for testing, prepare presentations and conduct training sessions to highlight key changes / deliverables to the IMAS team.
  • Act as a lead intermediary and build effective relationships among Finance, Business Unit, Operations, IT and other stakeholders as the driver of change within the IMAS team.

Qualifications

Skills Required

  • Experience in managing a team (8-10 years of work experience).
  • Ability to coordinate and manage projects involving individuals across different locations and different teams.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and follow up.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills including Excel and PowerPoint.

Skills Desired

  • Knowledge of Asset Management and Management Fee Billing Functions strongly recommended.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or related field strongly recommended.
