Assistant Accountant

My client based in Edgware are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join them within their finance team. This Retail organization have an opportunity to take on another head within their team where they offer training and support to aid career progression. With new contracts constantly due to the increasing demand and brand development, the Financial Controller has realised she needs to hire another person into the team to effectively operate as her number 2.

Description

This role will include

• Assisting with the Preparation Accounts
• Preparing data for accruals & prepayments
• Managing and reporting on the debt ledger
• Ad hoc financial reporting
• Bank Reconciliations
• Assisting with the reconciliations
• Assisting with Forecasting & Budgeting

Profile

The successful Assistant Accountant will

• Have a good knowledge of Debits & Credits
• Be familiar with how accruals, prepayments & journal entries should be processed
• Have an ambition to progress and develop yourself within a business
• Have good accounting knowledge and some, if only brief experience of Management Accounting
• Be happy working within a team
• Be willing to learn and develop their skills in line with the situation
