Your new company
A successful and leading local business in Woodbridge are looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join the business on a permanent basis. This role is starting as soon as possible however the business are also open to waiting for the right person if they are required to serve notice.
Your new role
Working as a crucial member of this friendly and thriving finance team, you will ultimately be supporting the company Accountant in the day to day running of the accounts function and this may include:
What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally be working towards an AAT qualification (or equivalent) however candidates who are qualified by experience will also be considered. You will be pro-active in your approach working on initiative in order to support the wider finance team in meeting tight deadlines.
What you'll get in return
The working hours are 8:30am - 5:30pm Monday to Friday with a 1 hour lunch break. There is free on-site parking, 25 day holiday allowance and after successfully passing your 3 month probation you will also have access to study support and a number of other company benefits.

- Sales and purchase ledger
- Updating the cashbooks
- Bank reconciliations
- Updating journals
- Maintaining the fixed asset register
- Cash flow forecasting
- VAT returns
- General ledger reconciliations
- Other ad-hoc month-end support
