Start Date: Nov / Dec 2019

My client is seeking to appoint a Trainee Accountant on a permanent basis.

The ideal candidate will need to be at the very early stages of their professional exams

Experience using SAP would be a distinct advantage

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in month end accounts preparation & balance sheet reporting
  • Preparation of commercial sales & margin reports
  • Review costs and assist with budgeting & forecasting with local cost centre owners
  • Rebate (LTA agreements) calculations and reporting
  • Complete tax returns
  • Co-ordinate with Shared Service Centre on behalf of local finance (Creditor reconciliations, payroll KPIs, accounts receivable etc.)
  • Assist in improving BI and SAP reporting
  • Internal control review
  • Group reporting templates
  • IFRS statutory accounts preparation
  • Assist with audit
  • Ah hoc project work
  • Weekly bank reconciliations
  • Assist commercial accountants with product costings
  • Issue monthly forecast template to commercial team and collate returns
  • Keep cashflow reporting (‘Cash Analytics' system) updated
  • Complete monthly, quarterly & annual returns for National Statistics Office


Key Skills:
  • CIMA / ACCA stage 1 / stage 2 or equivalent with a willingness to learn and progress.
  • Prior SAP experience would be advantageous but not essential
