Financial Analyst

Based in the City, our client is an exciting and recognisable company looking for a Finance Analyst to join their international finance team on a Permanent basis.

This job would suit a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or ACMA) with a strong academic background and demonstrable analytical and reporting experience working in a progressive international business. The candidate will be responsible for managing the international Finance monthly close and forecast process, the annual budget process, and the preparation for the monthly management review meetings.

The successful individual will be a graduate calibre qualified accountant, ACA ACCA or ACMA with experience of working with Financial Planning and Reporting packages such as BPC and Hyperion. This is a high profile role in a dynamic organisation with extensive exposure to the senior management of the business and it is essential that the candidate has experience working in an international/ multinational environment.

Duties will include:

• Key contact point between Corporate FP&A and International team
• Prepares the meeting materials used in the monthly actuals review with Corporate
• Key contact point for Corporate Accounting (close issues, restructuring, hierarchy changes, audit fees, impairment analysis)
• Participates in budget preparation, including but not limited to forecast input, presentations, bridges, commentaries, and cost analyses
• Assists in the preparation for board meetings, earnings releases, conference calls, and other presentations on an ad hoc basis
• Creates various financial analyses and schedules in support of forecasts
• Identifies areas where cost improvements can be realized and assists in the implementation of programs to affect cost improvements
• Builds reports and analyses for all aspects of the financial plan including sales, revenues, costs, capital, and free cash flows
• Risk & opportunity management for the International region in order to hit planned segment and regional targets
• Reviews restructuring entries for International and International Finance and ensures accurate recording and compliance with policy
• Tracks key metrics for Corporate, including initiatives such as synergies
• Supports operations projects
• Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
