Wealth Risk Management Colonial First State (WRMCFS) is the designated Line 2 risk management function of Colonial First State (CFS).

Do work that matters

Reporting to the Executive Manager Operational Risk, you will lead a team of risk professionals to provide CFS with the framework, tools and training to enable them to effectively manage their risks. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing detailed risk reviews on business strategy, projects and business processes;
  • Providing objective review and challenge of the effectiveness of risk and remediation practices;
  • Monitoring, reporting and assurance over Customer Remediation Projects and adherence to the CFS Customer Remediation Framework;
  • Implementing the Group’s Risk Management Framework (RMF), including the Risk Appetite Statement (RAS), Risk Management Strategy (RMS), Operational Risk Management Framework, and related frameworks and policies.
  • Partnering with CFS to develop risk profiles and control frameworks;
  • Line 2 risk assessment and control testing;
  • Monitoring CFS’ compliance with regulatory obligations and internal policies, and standards
  • Assisting the Executive Manager with periodic communications, reporting, presentations and workshops with the CFS leadership team, Board and Board committee.

We’re interested in hearing from people who possess:

  • Demonstrated experience within Wealth or Financial Services Risk and or Audit
  • Strong communication, presentation skills and commercial acumen.
  • Proven ability to lead a team of risk professionals
  • Experience in successfully communicating with and influencing senior stakeholders
  • Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Law or a similar discipline.
