The purpose of this Management Accountant role is to provide assistance to the Financial Management for the efficient running of the finance department and providing support as necessary to the business.

Description

Management Accountant Responsibilities:

• Support the preparation of financial and management accounts
• Preparation of VAT returns
• Assist in the forecasting and budgeting process
• Posting journals
• Administration of expenses system including pay runs
• Providing information for audits and liaising with auditors
• Production and supply of trade working capital data
• Production and supply of payment charter
• Production and distribution of the weekly cash flow report
• Assisting with the accounting of joint ventures and cash management
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Contract creation in SAP
• Financial Month end close in SAP
• Monthly distribution of cost download and reports to the business
• Administration of company purchasing cards
• Accounting for fixed assets
• Providing cover across department roles when necessary
• Reporting of week/month end cash balances
• Office of national statistics forms
• Intrastat returns
• Carry out other relevant duties as required from time to time

Profile

The successful Management Accountant:

• Working towards AAT qualification or part qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
• Previous experience of SAP
• Experience of basic Microsoft packages
