About The Role
As a Relationship Credit Manager, you will specialise in providing the industry and credit risk assessment for the existing and prospective clients. Your role will also support Corporate and Commercial Banking to maintain and achieve sound profitable growth of commercial lending assets, whilst maintaining credit quality in line with agreed Business strategies which is consistent with the Group's credit philosophies, policies and procedures via responsible and impartial credit assessment or advice. You will also be involved in the decisioning of Credits within Commercial Banking in Queensland.

In this role, you will be given the opportunity to interact with external clients as well as internal stakeholders such as the transaction banking products team, pricing, loan products.

You will be part of a very dynamic and highly-energetic team, and will be managing two Credit Analyst staff, ensuring the quality of credit submissions are disciplined with respect to credit management.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Tertiary Qualification in a business related field
  • Proven knowledge of financial statements and credit risk assessment skills (background of sound business lending)
  • Demonstrated understanding of small and medium business needs and expectations and abilities to originate new business
  • Ability to work with a team with proven analytical, negotiation and problem solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, computer literacy and demonstrated excellent customer focus
  • Excellent people management and coaching skills
