Description

Key responsibilities of the Finance Assistant:

  • Daily supplier Invoice statement reconciliations
  • Liaise with Branches and Suppliers to resolve queries
  • Ensure correct authorisation obtained on invoices
  • Payment selection for Daily/weekly/monthly payment runs
    Various purchase ledger reporting
  • Assist with post opening/distribution duties
  • Validation of Supplier Account amendments
  • Support with invoice register resolution
  • Support with Debit balances resolution
  • Profile

    The successful Candidate:

    • Good administrative and organisational skills with the ability to multi-task, manage time effectively and work to tight deadlines.
    • Good interpersonal and customer facing skills
    • Min 1 year experience in a busy Purchase Ledger/Accounts Payable Department with particular attention to supplier statement reconciliations Proficient in the use of Excel to intermediate level (Pivot tables and Vlookup)

    • Ability to integrate into a small busy team.

    • Personal Accountability.

    • Ability to identify and resolve problems

    • Attention to detail.

    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications, particularly Outlook and Excel

    • Prior experience of working in a Finance department
