Job Description
Core Responsibilities:
- Supervising Back Office (BO) financial servicing for a portfolio of clients ensuring the smooth running of day to day relationship with FO and consistent delivery of client reporting/ information accurately and on time
- Ensuring that adequate training has been received and support provided in order to complete the role and be proactive in defining areas needing attention or support
- Ensuring that preparers of work receive constructive support and are trained adequately to complete their role
- Be an ‘expert’ on designated clients including understanding technical details of their LPA, SLA, Fee Agreement (if applicable) and any technical nuances
- Minimise risk to IQ-EQ by ensuring all procedures, checklists and SSAE16 requirements (if applicable)
Tasks / Duties:
- Deliver timely quality service to the FO to ensure all requests for designated clients are met, ensuring any client/investor queries are responded to within 24 hours
- Complete detailed review on designated Client work to a standard suitable for CRM/FO review and assist reviews for other teams as required
- Ensure that KPIs are developed, implemented, met and reported quarterly in accordance with agreed SLA’s
- Perform the day-to-day communication on all designated clients between BO and FO accountants
- Maintain regular contact with Front Office through phone calls and emails detailing upcoming deliverables and progress thereof
- Assist with new business take on where required
Qualifications
Essential:
- Certified Public Accountant
- 4+ years relevant experience, at least 1 year of which is in supervisory role
- Experience in tax related work
- Experience of managing service operations and client deliverables
- Experience of managing staff and conducting performance appraisals
- Experience in preparation and review of financial statements with notes and other accounting related reports
- Excellent organisational, prioritisation and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable communicating with FO contacts
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills with particular focus on Excel skills
- ‘Can do’ attitude, ability to cope with tight deadlines, working under pressure and lead by example
Desired:
- Experience in doing outsourced accounting
- Has dealt with foreign clients
- Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables and data manipulation
- Experience working in Financial Services office environment
