RBS Risk Management is responsible for managing the Group’s overall risk portfolio, ensures the Group has appropriate strategies and frameworks in place to assess, manage and report on credit, market, operational, compliance and insurance risks.

On any given day you will

  • Engage in collaborative stakeholder engagement on regulatory reporting and Incident Management matters
  • Investigate and review compliance Incidents, liaising with the business and legal services to determine whether Incidents are breaches and significant
  • Draft breach notifications and any updates for regulatory and governance reporting for risk committees
  • Management of auditor relationship in respect of AFSL obligations and Incident management
  • Facilitation of effective and efficient decision-making and compliance with regulatory obligations
  • Regulatory compliance advice where required based on a deep understanding of RBS strategy, products and processes
  • Ensure efficient & effective operations and processes and compliance with regulatory obligations
  • Ensure RBS awareness of regulatory incidents and adherence to regulatory requirements

We’re interested in hearing from people who

  • Tertiary qualification in law preferred or other business/finance related disciplines
  • Strong understanding of the key Australian financial services regulations impacting retail banks
  • Strong understanding of retail banking strategy, products and processes
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in engagements with regulators, advice to stakeholders, internal regulatory briefings and reporting
  • Strategic thinker with excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills who can facilitate buy-in and engagement from management
  • Ability to work with and apply the Compliance Risk Management Frameworks and system (RiskInSite) requirements
