A ROLE YOU WILL LOVE
The Supervisor position is responsible foroverseeing default processes, which may include filing claims for loss orreimbursement, or approving the payment of expenses incurred during default.The individual will be responsible for managing complex foreclosure and postforeclosure default processes and mitigating the risk and exposure within thoseprocesses. This individual will assist in developing and maintainingdocumentation standards and be responsible for the demonstration of compliancewith various regulatory programs. Thisindividual will be responsible for implementing process improvements andidentifying efficiency improvement opportunities within the processes in orderto address any operational issues uncovered through internal audit programsand/or any third-party review of files. This individual will be responsible forproviding reporting to management on a monthly basis, quarterly reporting toSenior Leadership on a quarterly basis, and provide reporting to Investors on amonthly basis, or as requested. This individual will be required to reviewdaily, weekly, and monthly reporting for discrepancies and possible risk withinthe processes. The Supervisor will be expected to monitor industry changes inthe business climate, and implement these changes within the processes theyoversee, if applicable. This individual will be required to meet and workclosely with outside business partners, vendors, and any other entities withwhom SLS has a business relationship. The Supervisor will have front linedirect reports. This individual will be required to approve timecards fornon-exempt employees. This individual will be responsible for holding directreports to quality and production standards approved for the department, andensuring goals are met on a consistent basis.

PrimaryAccountabilities
  • Manage, lead and motivate department staff toachieve department goals, and maintain approved department standards forquality and production.
  • Monitor and assist with day to day processesand handle all escalations that require management review.
  • Review and report on a regularly scheduledbasis any trends in operational reviews and / or trends in reporting results,including monthly reports to Investors.
  • Conduct audits/reviews.
  • Communicate with internal and external linesof business, which includes SLS approved vendors
  • Facilitate scheduling of meetings andinteractions with internal and external business partners, includingsignificant interaction with Senior level and Executive Management.
  • Monitor industry changes in the businessclimate.
  • Ensure 100% compliance with all department andcompany procedures.
  • Other duties or tasks as assigned bymanagement.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU Required:
  • Strong understanding of mortgage defaultservicing.
  • High effectiveness working under daily andmonthly deadlines.
  • Ability to complete detailed research, stronganalytical skills, and demonstrated ability to pay critical attention todetail.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership skillsrequired.
  • Experience and knowledge with MortgageInsurance claims or GSE claims or Government claims or Private label claims isrequired.
  • Proven ability to identify gaps withinprocesses and drive resolution.
  • Ability to work with various individuals anddepartments across the company in order to access and understandinformation/data required for analysis.
  • Strong written and verbal communicationskills.
  • Ability to interact effectively withInvestors, Vendors, Internal and External Business Partners, and ExecutiveManagement.
  • Strong proficiency in all MicrosoftApplications required.
  • Must possess strong organizational skills,ability to multi-task multiple priorities, and demonstrate strong decisionmaking skills simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and coachindividuals to success.
Preferred:
  • Prior experience with mortgage originations.
  • Prior experience with accounting.

Educationand Experience
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-yearcollege or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training;or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ year of mortgage servicing experience.
  • 2+ year of responsibility in a leadershiprole.
Preferred:
  • 5+ years of mortgage servicing and/ororigination experience.
  • 2+ years of accounting experience.

TravelRequired

It is expected that this position may includetravel up to 10% of the time. This issubject to change based on many factors, including business needs.

LanguageAbility

Ability to read/analyze/interpretjournals/financial reports/legal documents; respond to inquiries/complaintsfrom customers/reg. agencies/ community; write speeches/articles forpublication; present info to top mgmt/public groups/ boards of directors.

MathematicalAbility

Ability to calculate figures and amounts suchas discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area,circumference, and volume. Ability toapply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
