D ata Scientist
The Data Scientist provides direct support toGPS Sales Excellence by providing sales and pipeline analytics of Deloitte'sCustomer Relationship Management (CRM) system (Salesforce), businessdevelopment artifacts, and client documents.

The GPS Data Scientist is responsible for collaboratingwith Leadership and other Enabling Areas to understand their processes and dataand therefore determine the most efficient and cost-effective manner to provideinsights and subsequently predictive analyses on our bidding strategies, pipeline,and future sales.

This individual will apply natural languageprocessing/machine learning to facilitate research, gather, and designprocesses and/or use technology to mine various business development artifacts,such as proposals, client documents, competitive research, and other corporatedata repositories to identify ways to improve our win rate. The data scientist will also need to integratedata from disparate sources into an efficient and intuitive rational databasestructure.

Workyou'll do

Asa Data Scientist within our team you will:
  • Assist Sales Excellenceleaders with Mercury sales and pipeline data analyses
  • Coordinate with other internalorganizations to understand business development processes and data
  • Provide recommendationsand predictive analysis to senior leaders on improving bid strategies andsubsequently win rates.


Qualifications
  • Master's degree, preferably in a government or public Sector, or an analytics related discipline
  • 10 years' work experience
  • Professional customer service manner and ability to interact with all levels of management and leadership
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage competing high priority demands
  • Advanced skills in SAP and Oracle SQL
  • Advanced skills in: machine learning, natural language processing, text analytics, predictive analytics, data modeling, and entity resolution, Linear Regression, Nonlinear Regression/Nonlinear Analysis, Network Analysis, Graph Databases, Network Graphs, Graph Data, Unstructured Data, Cyber Analytics
  • Proficiency in development tools/languages: R-expert, RStudio- R-expert, Python-project experience, Jupyter- project experience, SAS-expert, Java-project experience, Git, GitHub, GitLab, MS SharePoint, Spark, Zoom Data, Tableau, Hadoop, AWS Client, Neo4j, Oracle SQL Server, Oracle MySQL, Toad
Preferred
  • Minimum of 3-year experience in Government procurement/Capture/Proposal management
  • Minimum of 5-year business writing experience
  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-through skills
  • Team-oriented
  • Experience working independently and comfort working with remote colleagues
  • Strong relationship building/relationship management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume, and often ambiguous/fast-changing matrix environment
Rosslyn, VA office preferred; other Deloitte office locations or remote considered. Minimal travel required.
