The Firm's CorporateTreasury function and the Chief Investment Office (together referred to as"Treasury/CIO") manage the Firm's balance sheet. This includes activitiessuch as:
  • Deploying the Firm's excess liquidity
  • Managing the Firm's funding and liabilities
  • Managing the Firm's structural interest rate and foreign exchange risk
  • Managing the Firm's liquidity risk and its regulatory compliance
CTC Risk manages the risk of the retained portfoliogenerated from the Chief Investment Office, Global Treasury, and "other"Corporate businesses (Firm-wide Pension Plan, Insurance programs, and MortgageServicing Rights). The CTC Chief Risk Officer (CRO) reports to the Firm-wideCRO and is responsible for the end to end risk framework within the CTC LOBs;including, but not limited to, Market Risk, Credit Risk, Liquidity Risk,Reputation Risk, Country Risk, Principal Risk, and Model Risk.

CTC - Risk Executive Director
The CTC Risk team seeks to hire a seasoned risk professional tojoin its Risk Management function. The position will involve leading ateam that oversees the interest rate risk management and capital market riskactivities of the CCB business. Additionally, the role will also act as the leadfor the governance and monitoring of Firmwide mortgage risk portfolio.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of 4-5 people
  • Participate in the assessment, governance and control of the Market Risk for the business
  • Perform deep-dives ontopics to support independent risk analysis - for e.g. mortgage prepaymentrisks
  • Participate in reviewof transactions related to HFI capital market activities
  • Enhance and maintaingovernance over interest rate risk assumptions, provide independent challengeof changes to assumptions and risk identifications
  • Participate as a riskstakeholder in various projects with the Front Office, Finance, ValuationControl Group, Model Review Group, Policy, Technology and Product control
  • Actively contribute toand participate in LOB ALCOs (where applicable), LOB risk affirmation meetingsand Risk Committees presentations
  • As the Firmwidemortgage risk lead, partner with other risk teams on developing best practicesand consistencies with models and risk methodologies
  • Perform andparticipate in deep-dives on Firmwide mortgage topics to support risk analysis

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/Math based discipline; 5-7 year's mortgage experience or market risk equivalent a plus
  • Leadership skills and prior management experience
  • Strong analytical & quantitative skills with a focus on risk management and models
  • Understanding of fixed income valuation and risk modeling
  • Existing knowledge of financial markets and experience with Mortgage products
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Must be able to communicate with a wide variety of functional groups
  • Demonstratedeffectiveness working independently and in multi-disciplinary teams
  • Organized and able toexecute responsibilities with minimal supervision
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
