In the role, you will mainly assist with client fees, adviser payments, bank reconciliations and invoicing, and you’ll also have the opportunity to support the wider Financial Control team, who are responsible for financial and regulatory reporting for the investment management business and funds.
Some of the role responsibilities will include:
•Assisting with payments to external advisers using in house systems
•Assisting with answering technical queries from the systems team and relationship managers
•Calculation, preparation and payment of any manual adjustments
•Payment postings on SUN system
•Debit interest investigations and rectifications of client accounts on a monthly basis
•Jointly managing the fees email inbox with the other team members and responding to all queries promptly
•Providing absence cover for calculation and payment of onshore and offshore fees
•Making payments in online banking system for daily funding and rebates
•Bank reconciliations
•Weekly cash report to parent company
•Issuing recharge invoices to the firm’s funds
•Fee estimates and closure of accounts for departing clients
•Creating fee templates and apply finance only templates
To be considered for the role, you must be able to demonstrate:
•Strong Microsoft Excel skills
•Attention to detail and accuracy of work
•Strong communication ability with internal and external parties
•Good time management and prioritisation
•Flexibility to perform different and varied tasks
•Ability to manage workload effectively and work on own initiative
•Good analytical skills and numeracy
For this role, the client are looking for an Accounting & Finance graduate, or someone who has studied their AAT and gained experience in an Accounting role. Exposure to the Investment Management or wider Financial Services sector is a big plus!
