A career within Corporate Tax services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients meet their tax obligations while managing the impact tax has on their business. You'll advise clients on their local and overseas tax affairs, while acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing working capital, and profit sharing for partners. You'll also help organisations understand the pricing implications of goods and services between related parties, as well as providing advice on tax implications of deals.

Our team helps our clients improve their tax function to control risk and facilitate better decision making. You'll focus on helping businesses with tax strategy, ensuring tax compliance, increasing post tax profits, and providing application support to achieve the best corporate tax practices.
A Corporate Tax Manager is now required for the Manchester office as part of our successful and growing Corporate tax advisory team. We work with a diverse range of well-known clients at local, national and global levels, and have a dynamic and inspiring working environment.
As a Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution.
The work can be wide-ranging, including providing excellent quality corporate tax advisory services to local and international corporate clients, and advising privately owned and multinational groups on UK tax developments. The role will also include supporting local and regional business development activity to generate new business, and winning work.
You will also be responsible for taking a lead role in the support and development of the junior members of our growing team. You will get the opportunity to work directly to partners and directors, and with technical specialists in specialist areas of tax and in different territories.
Given the vast majority of our compliance work is managed by dedicated compliance teams across the UK, your role will offer you exposure to a high standard of tax consultancy work on a diverse client base.

Essential Qualification & Skills To be considered for this role, the ideal candidate will
  • Possess a UK professional qualification (ACA/ACCA/ATT/CTA/legal qualification) or overseas equivalent
  • Be a manager with strong UK corporate tax technical skills, who is used to managing a diverse portfolio of clients
  • Have a passion for providing excellent client service
  • Have experience of managing international clients (preferable but not essential)
  • Be a self starter who has experience of managing and coaching junior team members
  • Have experience in being out in the market in direct contact with clients and contacts
  • Have significant UK corporate tax advisory experience
  • Have excellent project management and team working skills
  • Have experience of developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients
  • Be self-motivated and have an appetite to support business development efforts to secure new opportunities for the firm
  • Possess strong analytical skills and a proven ability to solve complex problems in a collaborative and creative way
  • Have a focus on self-development and in the development of others in your teams
  • Have a strong interest in being an all-round business adviser who enjoys working closely with clients to provide them with proactive innovative and commercial tax services
