You will become a member of the wider Finance team at Apple. With over 350 employees from a multitude of backgrounds, the Finance department in Cork supports all functions of Apple in EMEIA, including Sales Fulfilment, Logistics, Manufacturing and Operations, Apple Music and Apple Retail as well as being part of the Global Business Solutions (GBS) function.

The Purchase to Pay team in Cork comprises over 50 people. You will manage the Authorised Requestor and Invoice Induction Teams in EMEIA GBS and will report to a Senior Manager. This is a key role in a fast-paced environment with the potential for the role to develop further with additional responsibilities in line with business requirements.

Key Qualifications

  • Experienced team manager with excellent customer service skills are critical
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, including influencing ability to encourage innovation and process change
  • Demonstrable ability to streamline processes and centralise work that is disparate across the organisation
  • Proven leadership skills as demonstrated through clear problem solving, effective process
  • Evaluation, strong team and business relationship building, and delivery of high quality work
  • Develop strong cross functional & peer working partnerships
  • Ability to coach, mentor and advise where appropriate to help team grow and develop in alignment with business and personal goals;
  • Ability to build long term scalable solutions;
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills / proficient in Excel

Description

  • Ensuring the Authorised Requestor team manage & control spend in accordance with established budgets & in line with Apple’s Finance Policies
  • Ensuring that POs are raised & approved on efficiently for the Lines of Business which the team supports
  • Ensuring the Authorised Requestors track costs in line with the latest budgets, job estimates, Purchase Order information and invoices
  • Ensuring the Invoice Induction team manage the intake of payable invoices to Apple in an effective manner
  • Ensuring both teams meet service level agreement and perform quarter end close to agreed deadlines
  • Maintaining an ongoing focus on growing efficiencies and scalability through improvements in execution, system automation and reporting
  • Developing & maintaining excellent working relationships with a variety of internal and external partners, in particular possessing strong vendor management skills
  • Dedicating time for the development of team members
  • Reacting quickly to critical issues as they arise
  • Implementing and keeping controls over all documentation and processes
  • Ensuring all desktop procedures, process notes and system logic are updated and maintained for any process / system changes
  • Being an active member of a strong, cohesive extended management team, in Purchase to Pay & GBS, both regionally & globally

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or studying for a similar qualification.
  • Qualified Accountant
