This internationally recognised manufacturing and production company are looking for a qualified (ACA/ACCA/CTA) individual to move into a mixed role. Key responsibilities will involve tax accounting in support of the Group Planning and Reporting Manager, as well as the execution of day to day treasury operations and support the Group Treasurer in strategic treasury and tax planning projects.

Description

* Ensuring timely submission of tax computations, tax calculations for half year and year end statutory accounts.

* Minimise interest expense by careful management of Group cash and debt.

* Ensure hedging is completed in line with group treasury policy.

* Ensure monthly netting process is completed in a timely manner.

* Tax computations: Effective tax rate calculation and forecast/deferred tax calculation and review of tax computations, liaising with tax advisers.

* Assist Group Planning and Reporting Director with tax related accounting

* Support Group Treasurer in tax planning activities and strategic treasury projects

* Execute day to day treasury operations, minimising transaction costs and interest expense while ensuring efficient implementation of the Group's hedging policy.

* First contact point for central tax and treasury queries from affiliates, ensuring that appropriate support is provided.

* Management of monthly netting process and intercompany transactions.

Profile

Experience:

*Experience of tax accountancy - completing deferred tax calculations, tax computations

*Exposure to working with or accounting for treasury instruments and the treasury function

*Experience of being 'outward facing' helpful - ability to present a professional face to external contacts.

Skills:

*Strong prioritisation and ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and workstreams.

*Ability and drive to seek continuous improvement in processes and procedures.

*Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across a wide range of seniority important, both internally and externally.

Knowledge:

*Qualified accountant - ACA/ACCA/CIMA
