Financial Accountant

A fantastic opportunity has become available for an up and coming Financial Accountant with SAP experience to join the finance team in a multinational company in the retail industry.

Based in Sydney's Southern Suburb of Banksmeadow, the Part Qualified Financial Accountant's main duties will be month end closing, reconciliations, audit and assist with budgeting.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the core responsibilities for the Financial Accountant include:

• Financial Accounting & Statutory Reporting
• Manage month end process including defining financial calendar schedule
• P&L and Variance analysis
• BAS, GST, Income Tax & FBT
• J-SOX Compliance
• Assist in auditing processes
• Support system implementation & testing
• Assist with budgeting
• Improve processes to create a more efficient working environment
• Ad-hoc financial support and requests.

The right person for the role will:

• Previous SAP experience is essential
• Have exceptional written and spoken English
• Have 3 - 5 years experience in Assistant Accountant/Financial Accountant role
• Completed university degree and Part or Nearly Qualified CPA/CA
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamic Ax highly desirable
• Experience working with Multinational companies - retail or manufacturing ideal
• Intermediate-Advanced Excel skills
• Be a dedicated team player
