We Offer
An exciting opportunity to join the GCP Finance Team that covers one of the largest, most accomplished credit franchises in the industry. The position offers an opportunity to develop expertise in financial planning, forecasting and cost management, and to play a meaningful role in executing key strategic initiatives and projects for the Global Credit Products division, reporting to the GCP Business Finance Officer within CFO. The role provides opportunities to work with senior Front Office and Finance partners in London and New York and will encompass a mix of analysis, project management, reporting and strategy.
Responsibilities:
Reporting/Management Information:
- Provide a daily revenue flash and performance to forecasts to senior GCP management
- Provide financial performance measurements and reports used in weekly financial reviews with the GCP business head, monthly performance reviews
- Provide Central reporting of projections to GM Finance of Revenues and Expenses by Legal Entity
- Provide ad hoc reports and information including commentaries for Global Markets management and Investor Relations
- Assist with Expense Analysis and Reporting, analysing allocations and helping follow up with relevant corporate functions to ensure allocations are accurate.
Assisting Strategic Design:
- Partner with and assist the GCP Management team on all presentations (ExCo’s, Townhalls, etc.)
- Partner with and assist the GCP Management team in providing financial information used for Annual Strategy Sessions
- Assist the Finance and COO teams in developing an expense optimization strategy and tracking performance against this
Capital, Balance Sheet and Liquidity:
- Partner with and assist the front office on their forward looking resource projections (BCBS, RWA, Liquidity) and be able to explain the impact of these on financial performance
You Offer:
The person likely to be successful in this role would have:
- Recent graduate or up to two years’ experience in financial services, preferably within a major Investment Bank or financial institution.
- Proficient PowerPoint/Excel skills, outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong numerical / accountancy literacy, an engineering or complex process background is a plus!
- Able to perform in a fast paced environment (specifically in turning around deliverables).
- Highly motivated, willing to work in both team and independent situations.
- Ability to manage multiple matters and challenges simultaneously while working in a close knit team.
- Organized, gives attention to details, and motivated to drive projects independently
- Ability to partner with diverse teams across various locations and understand regional complexities.
