What will your typical day look like?


As an Analyst within our Employment Taxes team, you will work closely with and support our Senior Analysts and Management team on both compliance and advisory employment tax matters and gain exposure to a diverse client portfolio across a wide range of industries and sectors including government departments, MNCs and ASX listed companies, each with large-scale employee payroll functions.

The work itself will involve advising on legislative requirements relating to employment taxes and reporting obligations such as PAYG withholding, superannuation guarantee, payroll tax and fringe benefits tax (FBT), in a practical and meaningful way to mitigate compliance risks and provide innovative solutions. Each set of client circumstances presents its own challenges, so you will be able to continuously expand upon your expertise in this dynamic and ever-changing area of tax.

About the team

The employment taxes team is an integral part of Deloitte's Global Employer Services (GES) Division. Changes in employment law and employment instruments over the years has given rise to complex and varying employment arrangements. GES helps navigate through these employment arrangements combining specialist skills across employment taxes, individual and international assignee taxes, equity related matters and immigration. In addition to working with the broader GES team, the employment taxes team also works collaboratively with other parts of Deloitte including the consulting and risk (data analytics) practices.

You are someone with:

• 1-2 years' experience within the employment tax or broader tax arena
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Enthusiasm and a passion to succeed
