Financial Services business based in the City of London (near Bank) is expanding its corporate services finance team and is currently seeking a new assistant accountant.

Client Details

Our client is a fund and corporate services provider for private equity, infrastructure, real estate and private debt manager businesses within the financial services sector. Based in the City area of London (near Bank).

Description

Working as part of the Corporate Services Finance team, your duties will include:

  • Assisting clients in incorporation and administration of asset holding vehicles, financing entities, and real estate companies
  • Handling the day-to-day operations of companies and responding to clients' requests
  • Assisting with processing payments
  • Assisting with VAT returns
  • Assisting with client on-boarding including obtaining AML/KYC information
  • Performing bookkeeping and preparing periodic reports
  • Assisting with the preparation of statutory financial statements and maintaining contact with auditors when applicable
  • Assisting the Corporate Services teams with ad hoc tasks as required such as organisation of board and shareholders meetings

Profile

  • Previous exposure to practical accounting is essential eg basic accounting entries, debits and credits
  • You must hold a bachelor's degree and/or master's in Accounting, Economics, Finance or any other relevant field;
  • Keen interest in pursuing ACCA studies;
  • You possess team spirit, the capacity to build strong client relationships, and take initiative to act without waiting for direction when appropriate;
  • Are able to work towards deadlines;
  • Have excellent communication skills;
  • Having a good understanding of Excel is important
