Finance Director Full time, permanent post based near Coventry AirportBasic Salary Negotiable for the right person - Flexible on make-up of remuneration package to suit the right candidate Our client is a Private equity backed FMCG Company with a positive team wishing to grow from £20m to £25m in 3 years. The Group consists of 2 businesses - the larger business is primarily domestic, high volume, low margin. The smaller business is primarily export, low volume and high margin. We want to appoint an experienced Finance Director to help drive our Business Plan working closely with the MD as well as other members of the Board. Reporting directly into the MD and being responsible for a department of 4 (Financial Controller, Analyst, 2 x Finance Assistants). Role Purpose: Focus the Board and Management Team on issues and projects that will enhance shareholder value.Provide financial leadership (including accounting, tax and insurance advice and support) to the company.Ensure the directors and everyone in the management team understands the financial information that you and your department produce.Articulate clear financial policies, objectives and strategies to the Board, the Management Team and the Finance Department.Monitor and report on financial performance including product and customer marginsManage the 3 Year Business Planning ProcessReforecast every quarter.Establish and maintain good relationships with external finance providers and company advisors.Ensure the Company maintains healthy cash and covenant headroom levelsPromote Good Corporate GovernanceEnsure the integrity of all the management information throughout the organisationTake ownership for everything in the Finance Department although a great deal of the operational work will be delegated to the Finance team. Responsibilities and Accountabilities Develop and improve the monthly Board Pack.Develop, implement, maintain and improve financial and accounting integrity, policies, processes and proceduresProvide information, support, advice and information to all other directors and senior managers as requiredManage covenants and cashRaise and negotiate finance when requiredDevelop Financial KPIs and introduce a Corporate DashboardDevelop Operational KPIsPresent business cases to support Capital projects.Improve daily, weekly, monthly information that is used by the management teamManage the Company's Forex RiskManage the Company's Insurance RisksUndertake the Company Secretarial dutiesManage and develop the Finance TeamSign-off the annual budget, interim forecasts, business plans and Statutory Accounts Education and Experience Large Professional Firm Qualified (CIMA / ACCA)Absolute minimum 5 years' experience post qualifiedPreviously worked in SME Manufacturing, growth orientatedHave experience in SAP or other ERP System ImplementationUnderstand the demands of a PE Investor Personality / Behavioural Personable - Sense of urgency - Organised - Disciplined - Commercial - Can-Do Attitude Key Skills / Competencies Strong Leadership, Strategic & lateral thinkingResults-orientated with a strong desire to succeedNew System IntroductionPeople ManagementPlanningStrong presentational skills - excellent written and verbal communicationGood negotiator and influencerAnalytical and StrategicThorough in organisation and planning, follow-through and attention to detailSound judgment & decision-making If you feel this role looks right for you and you feel you can contribute significantly to our client's Business Growth Plans and want to join our team, it's time to get your application started.
