The Company
Robert Half is working on an exclusive basis with a leading Investment company in the UAE. Due to a reorganisation they are looking to recruit a Chief Financial Officer.

The Role
The CFO will provide overall direction and guidance to the operational activities of the Finance Unit. Supporting the Chief Executive and liasing with key stakeholders on matters of funding you will play a pivotal role in the strategic direction in terms of financial aspects and lead the team under to ensure the strategy is implemented.
Key Responsibilities
*Act as the company's single point of accountability for the financial aspects.
*Ensure all Units' Financial strategy is defined, aligned to the business needs and appropriately cascaded across all Sections / Functions in the Unit.
*Ensure accountability for the administrative, financial, and risk management operations of the company, to include the development of a financial and operational strategy, metrics tied to that strategy, and the on-going development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results.
*Ensure compliance to all relevant quality, health and safety, security and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the business to guarantee employee safety, security, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality services with minimum impact to the environment.
*Assist in formulating the company's future direction and supporting tactical initiatives.
*Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans. Develop financial strategies. Manage the capital request and budgeting processes. Develop performance measures that support the company's strategic direction
*Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team
*Maintain in-depth relations with all members of the management team
*Manage the accounting, human resources, investor relations, legal and treasury departments
*Oversee the financial operations of subsidiary companies and foreign operations
*Manage any third parties to which functions have been outsourced
*Oversee the company's transaction processing systems
*Implement operational best practices
*Supervise acquisition due diligence and negotiate acquisitions
*Oversee the issuance of financial information
*Report financial results to the board of directors
*Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile
*Monitor all open legal issues involving the company, and legal issues affecting the industry
*Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements
*Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies
*Report risk issues to the audit committee of the board of directors
*Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and Participate in conference calls with the investment community
*Implement appropriate follow-up reporting on Management Actions to CEO

The Candidate
*15 years plus experience (experience in the investments, private equity or banking) related is preferred)
*Proven track record of progressive responsible management positions including at least 5 years in an equivalent leadership position.
*Credible leader in relationships with external stakeholders: banks, investors, financial press
*Understands functions and responsibilities of the board of directors, ideally across multiple jurisdictions.
*Ideally, experience of working with private equity stakeholders

Salary and Benefits
Up to 90,000aed per month plus excellent benefits
