The Financial Accountant role, based in Bracknell, is responsible for the preparation of monthly management accounts to agreed timescales, including profit and loss and balance sheet reconciliations and variance commentary and supports with compliance for company and statutory regulations.

Description
Financial Accountant Responsbilities:
- Prepare, examine, and analyse accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and internal control standards
- Prepare timely management and financial reporting (including KPI, variance analysis, etc)
- Responsible for the preparation, review and approval of balance sheet account reconciliations, including intercompany reconciliations and tangible and intangible asset management (including fixed asset verification, annual depreciation reviews, etc)
- Ensure accounting compliance and posting of IFRS reporting requirements
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packs
- Assist with the process documentation
- Assist with maintaining internal controls and SOX
- Assisting with external and internal audits (including compiling key audit schedules)
- Prepare external reporting
- Assist with the implementation of process improvements
Profile
Financial Accountant experience required:
- Understanding of finance regulations and legislation
- CIMA, ACCA or ACA Part Qualified
- Good working knowledge of SAP and HFM Hyperion
- Highly motivated, with an enquiring mind and passion for excellence
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent Excel skills
- Analytically minded
- Critical thinking skills
- Results focused
- Organisational skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong IT skills, being capable with new technologies
- Ability to work collaboratively across departmental functions
