Description

• Active management of team, workloads, performance

• Coach and develop the team and constantly strive to improve their capability

• Hands-on approach to accurate and meaningful reporting and analysis

• Implementing and maintaining a robust control environment and necessary processes

• Technical lead for statutory reporting, researching and implementing new accounting
  standards

• Lead in the oversight of the Change portfolio / project accounting

• Ensure all policies and procedures are regularly reviewed and updated

• Oversee production of accurate management accounts for the Group with analysis for
  reporting

• Oversight of cost centre reporting out to the business, identifying key messages and
  providing insightful management discussion and analysis

• Maintaining a robust control and reporting environment for balance sheet reconciliations;
  actively clearing aged items

• Hands on approach for statutory financial reporting in line with appropriate accounting
  standards

• Ensuring all share-based payments are correctly accounted for

• Regulator reporting in conjunction with compliance department

• Actively building robust controls around all processes

• Questioning and enhancing processes, streamlining or merging/removing where necessary

• Active in the Finance department internal audit rotations

Profile

• Qualified Accountant (CA / ACCA / CIMA)

• Managerial experience with enthusiasm for coaching

• Large company statutory reporting proficiency

• Strong applied technical accounting experience

• Interpreting legislation and submitting papers to the Board

• Fluent in foreign entity consolidation and FX accounting

• Proactivity in cost centre reporting, review, questioning and reaching cost savings

• Passion for change and driving efficiencies

• Project implementation / transformation experience including process improvements

• Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Job Offer

£60,000 - £65,000 + Bonus
