Our client, a growing FTSE 250 listed Group that is constantly innovating and looking for new products and best practices, seeks a high-calibre and driven Internal Audit Manager for its expanding internal audit and risk team.
Under the leadership of the new Head of Internal Audit, the Internal Audit function is undergoing significant change to take it to industry-leading best practice.
The Internal Audit Manager will contribute to and be part of this change and you will therefore have the chance to not just perform audits, but to design and implement practical approaches in everything the business does, either within the function or the way that it interacts with the rest of the business to help drive improvement. Through reviews of governance, risk and control, Internal Audit is a trusted advisor to the business and helps it to achieve sustainable and profitable growth. Internal Audit is in a unique position where it can provide insight across the Group in all areas and recommend improvements to what is done, how it is done and why.
Collaboration is key to the businesses success and Internal Audit is an important part of making this work. Technical skills are great to have. Personality, drive and open engagement are vital.
Travel in the role is estimated at 30% in the UK and overseas, however at times this could be as high as 40%.

Skills / Experience / Attributes:


Hold a relevant accounting or auditing qualification - ACA, CA, ACCA, CIA, CMIIA or equivalent
Audit / internal audit experience, including experience of engaging regularly with senior management
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
Outstanding relationship management and influencing skills
Commercially aware and able to work with the business to identify pragmatic solutions
Fluent in English. Foreign language skills desirable, particularly Chinese and French
Experience in project management, risk management and/or data analytics an advantage
Willingness to travel up to around 40% in the UK and overseas
