Internal Audit & Compliance Manager

My client are a Global Technology and Business Services company based in Central London looking for an Internal Audit & Compliance Manager.

This is a truly exciting period of growth within the European branch where they are looking create an internal audit function. This function already exists in their international HQ's but they now want a function to run out of the HQ in London.

This role will offer excellent exposure across the EMEA branch as well as in Asia and America. You will be in charge of Internal audit processes in the European HQ. The role will be a mixture of primarily business assurance with elements of business support and J-SOX compliance. You will plan, scope and carry out internal audit reviews of key business areas and provide improvement recommendations to the business and senior management. You will also lead and support global audit initiatives.

The role here is unique in the sense you will be responsible for starting up the European Internal Audit function for a Globally successful business with a turnover of around £16bn. You will get support from the Finance Project team as well as the support of the Internal Audit teams internationally.

Successful candidates will have had experience in a Top 10 accountancy firm with an ACA / ACCA / CIMA / CPA / IIA qualification. They would like candidates to have had a good amount of post qualification experience, working knowledge of SOX, experience with a large global organisation and strong understanding of internal controls environments.

Travel is around 30% and will be mostly to European locations - more international opportunities may present themselves at a later date.
