Senior Accountant - Practice

Robert Half Finance & Accounting is currently recruiting for a Senior Accountant to join a practice based in Leicestershire. This practice is easily accessible from Hinckley, Nuneaton, Coalville, Loughborough, Melton Mowbray, Market Harborough and Oakham.

If you are currently looking for your next move and want more exposure, experience and gain more commercial experience with client facing opportunities, then this is the role for you. This practice has been opened for over 10 years and has a small friendly finance team based within modern offices.

They are looking to hire someone who has 1 to 5 years' experience within practice, actively studying, committed and enthusiastic. In this role you will be working closely with the managing director, alongside working closely with the portfolio of clients, this also means preparing and presenting management accounts for individual's clients. This is the best time to join the business due to the expansion and commercial outlook of the practice.

Responsibilities

• Bookkeeping from base to trial balance for individual clients
• Accruals and prepayments and journal preparation
• Preparation of draft accounts
• Preparation of VAT returns
• Submission of corporation tax for clients
• Preparing and presentation of Management Accounts
• Working on Adhoc projects

Software experience - (Desirable)

• VT transaction
• Tax Filer
• Sage
• Zero
• Excel

Our client is paying between £25,000 - £35,000 with full study support plus additional benefits.

The salary range/rates of pay is dependent upon your experience, qualifications or training.
