Page Personnel are seeking a strong Finance Manager or head of accounts to join their growing accountancy team based in Wrexham. This is a very stable business, offering the right candidate an exciting challenge, leading a very strong accounts team.

Client Details

Our client have been established over 50 years, they are a very strong North Wales based business, employing over 1000 staff across multiple sites. This is an integral role within the business, where you will be the key contact between a very busy finance team and the director of the business.

Description

They key responsibilities of the Finance Manager include:

  • Maintain the company's Fixed Asset register to ensure that all assets are correctly recorded and depreciated in accordance with the company's Fixed Asset policy
  • Production of period end journals and reconciliations and other sundry month-end routines
  • Assist with the production of robust periodic cash-flow projections
  • Assist with the production of the quarterly VAT return, and associated ancillary calculations
  • Control the inter-company accounting process including ensuring all invoices are authorised, processed, paid and coded in a timely and controlled manner
  • Performing formal reconciliations of all inter-company accounts within the group, ensuring these are agreed on a periodic basis
  • Supporting and overseeing the busy transactional finance team
  • Supporting the Director with key business projects
  • Assisting and overseeing the company payroll processes

Profile

The successful Finance Manager will have:

  • A strong finance background and keen understanding of transactional finance processes
  • A high ability to prioritise work load within a very busy department
  • Comfortable communicating with internal & external stakeholders at all levels
  • The ability to drive process improvements
  • Experience within a health care organisation or working across multiple sites or business groups
  • Experience working with Sage 50
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Payroll experience would be desirable
