The Project
• An Independent Power Producer in the UAE, which is owned by a consortium of international investors.
• The project is a large gas fired power plant with a long-term power purchase agreement in place.
• The project is in a good location, close to international schools and excellent leisure facilities.
The Role
• Reporting to the General Manager and managing a small team of Accountants.
• Prepare the Management & Financial Accounts.
• Lead the team which will provide a full range of financial services such as payment of invoices and other liabilities, managing the payables, budgetary control, fixed asset accounting, cash management and banking facilities.
• Manage cost management and look for ways to improve efficiency in the business.
• Develop accounting policies and procedures consistent with local laws, international accounting standards, shareholders requirements and implement those procedures after the approval of the General Manager.
