Robert Half is proud to be partnering with a prestigious brand based in the Newton Abbott area to recruit an FP&A Manager. You will be joining the Finance team in a distinctive, ambitious and trusted manufacturing company.

Working closely with the site leadership team you will be responsible for providing insight and analysis into our standard cost of production, opportunities for efficiencies and variances from norm. You will be instrumental in translating insights into solutions and implementation.

Role

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Working with a variety of stakeholders to ensure accurate understanding & analysis of the standard cost of production of all company products
  • Supporting the Senior FP&A Manager and leadership team to identify opportunities to lower the standard cost of production
  • Supporting with scenario planning and assessing commercial opportunities or operational investments including capital expenditure
  • Gaining an intimate working knowledge of your sites cost base and operations
  • Helping your site to achieve and beat targets focused on lowering the cost of production
  • Providing insightful analysis and commentary via management reporting, robust forecasts and budgeting
  • Ensuring consistent and justifiable assumptions as a result of strong business partnering and supportive challenge
  • Assessing whether expected return on investment (ROI) from capital expenditure has been realised working with the site to remedy if it fall short

    • Profile

    Qualified finance professional (CIMA or ACA)

  • Experience within the Manufacturing sector and ideally of multi-site FMCG companies
  • Significant experience with Standard Costing
  • Management experience
  • Willingness to adopt a flexible working approach, including regular travel between sites and HQ
  • Strong project management skills & experience
  • Experience of economic evaluation and involvement with projects
