Assistant Accountant (temporary assignment)

This role, Assistant Accountant (temporary assignment), reports into the Head of Finance and is an opportunity for an experienced Assistant Accountant to excel in a varied and diverse role.

The role offers exposure into the Retail sector.

Our client are an international Retail company looking for a Christmas temp to join them on a temporary contract.

They sell luxury items internationally and look to provide their customers with a seamless and enjoyable shopping experience.

They are currently expanding their online market, so it's an exciting time to join and work for their company.

Description

The key responsibilities in this role, Assistant Accountant (temporary assignment), will include:

- Managing the purchase ledger

- Cash book maintenance

- Bank reconciliations

- Accruals and prepayments

- Maintaining and updating journals

- Quarterly VAT returns

- Matching, batching and coding

Profile

The successful candidate for this role, Assistant Accountant (temporary assignment), will:

1) be part-qualified

2) have a minimum of 12 months experience in Accountancy

3) have excellent Excel skills and experience with Financial systems

4) be immediately available or on a maximum of one week's notice
