Exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant to join a well-known Public Sector organisation in Gloucester. This location will be commutable from Bristol, Cheltenham and Newport.

Michael Page are pleased to be supporting a well-known Public Sector organisation in Gloucester with the recruitment of a Chief Accountant on a 9 to 12 month Fixed Term Contract.
Description
- Responsible for the maintenance of strong financial management within the organisation
- Responsible for the budget setting process for both the revenue budgets and the capital budgets within the organisation
- Assist Chief Financial Officer with the preparation of reports for the Annual Budget and the Medium Term Financial Plan across the group
- Supervise the production of regular and timely monitoring reports for the Senior Management Team
- Provide financial support to department heads
- Production of statutory accounts across the group
- Supervise the daily treasury management and assist with the treasury management strategy
- Budget management
- Undertake ad-hoc projects as required
Profile
The successful candidate must:
- Be a qualified accountant
- Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Have experience of financial accounting within the Public Sector
