About the Team
PwC Valuations is the largest dedicated valuations practice in the UK with 170 staff. We advise clients on their critical commercial and value creation issues. Our valuation advice covers transactions, restructurings, disputes, financial reporting, regulatory and tax requirements.

We are the only practice with a focus on industry specialisms, with our valuations teams aligned with our other industry aligned Transaction Services disciplines. In so doing, we provide our clients with commercial, pragmatic valuation analysis that draws on industry insight and is grounded in technical excellence. This positions Valuations at the heart of our Deals offering.

This role will focus on Insurance, within our broader Financial Services Valuations team.

About the Role
We're looking for a Director to join our Valuations business in London focusing on the Insurance sector, though based in London this will be a National role. As a Director within our business you will play a key role in driving the growth and development of the business through playing a key role in winning work and building client relationships. You will lead project teams and coach staff to deliver a wide range of valuations of insurance companies and insurance intermediaries.

The successful candidate will bring to PwC strong insurance market knowledge and the ability to build strong external and internal networks in this sector. Your experience could be within valuations, business planning, financial reporting or business development.

As a Director in the Valuations business some of your key responsibilities will include
  • Leading in the delivery of large valuation assignments, including client management, presentation of findings, providing insurance sector insights and reviewing technical valuation aspects
  • Developing/coaching and managing staff and project teams
  • Lead role in business development including generating revenues and growing the business.
  • Developing a network internally and externally, leveraging relationships to generate business.
  • Taking a leading role in developing proposals and in client presentations
  • Maintaining a high level of technical valuation skills and playing a lead role in knowledge sharing with the financial services team and wider PwC network

Essential Skills and Experience
  • Deep insurance market knowledge and experience (gained either from industry or
  • consulting)
  • Experience of either valuations or business planning or financial analysis and reporting
  • Commercial mindset
  • Passionate about client service with a strong ambition to build and grow a business
  • Good communications skills including leading client meetings and report writing.
  • Consultative and collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in teams on occasion to tight deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to deal with people at all levels in a confident manner
  • Track record of having built strong trusted relationships
