The duties of the Financial Controller includes, but are not limited to:
Preparation of Monthly Financial Reports.
Ensuring all General Ledger Reconciliations are completed and reconciling items cleared on a monthly basis.
Preparation of Weekly Working Capital Reports.
Preparation of Weekly Cash Projections.
Preparation of annual Budgets.
Compare Physical and Virtual Inventory to the Accounting Records.
Reconcile Payables in the accounting records to supplier statements on a monthly basis.
Reconcile large customer balances on a monthly basis.
Supervision of all Accounting staff to ensure they perform efficiently.
Appraise the performance of all Accounting staff.
Manage the working capital of the business to optimize cash resources.
Monitor Accounts Receivables falling due on a weekly basis and ensure customers pay on time.
Ensure that all customers receiving credit was approved via credit approval process.
Ensure all customers existing credit terms have been approved.
Ensure there is strict control and supervision over the management of credit terms, prices, commissions and discount rates in the system.
Document and understand the internal operating processes from the ordering of products to sale and collection.
Ensure that all prices, discounts, commissions, fees are accurately applied on a daily basis to prevent Revenue leakage and losses.
Ensure all Tax Reporting and payment obligations are maintained.
Ensure Capital expenditures are approved according to Group guidelines.
Ensure all expenses are within budget and highlight where there are deviations.
Monitor internal control systems and develop new procedures where necessary.
Ensure that key suppliers are paid on time and adherence to agreed credit terms.
Preparation of Bank Reports, Airtime and Handsets Analysis on a monthly basis.
Ensure Sub ledger is reconciled to the General Ledger on a monthly basis.
Be the liaison for the company with external stakeholders and the Banks
Coordinate the annual external audit of both entities.
Preparation of Consolidation Packages which form an integral part of the Audit Process.
Document all contractual arrangements with NCB, SAGICOR etc and ensure the Company's Revenue is being earned according to these agreements.
Manage tight reporting timelines and deliver results under pressure.
Work closely with the General Manager and other departmental Managers.
