Finance Analyst - 12 months

THE OPPORTUNITY: Macildowie are supporting a business Nottingham to recruit a Junior Finance Business Partner into their team on a fixed term contract for 12 months. You will be supporting the Finance Manager and be supported by Finance Analysts in providing accurate analysis, insight and commercial advice for the business. The role will suit a part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) who wants to move into a more commercial position. Someone moving from practice will also be considered (if you have a short notice period).THE ROLE & YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:This fantastic Junior Finance Business Partner opportunity within a genuinely interesting and evolving business are committed to development of their staff and this role will come with a full induction and on the job training - you will come out with absolutely excellent excel skills, lots of commercial exposure and some management experience (eventually).Reporting into the Finance Manager (but also working alongside) you will be involved in the following: Completing monthly managements accounts with your commercial insightAdvising on non-financial aspects of the businessInvolvement in business planning processSupporting in the management of a small finance teamUndertake a review of financial systems and processesEstablish and implement the finance function across the organisationEXPERIENCE SOUGHT IN THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:- Strong Excel skills - multiple v-look ups/ IFs/ Pivots- Ability to demonstrate high level of commercial aptitude- Experience with Financial Analysis, production of P + L and balance sheet reconciliations- Part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA)- Genuine can-do attitude- Very strong mathematical ability Macildowie is a specialist recruitment consultancy with a rich history of enhancing the careers of professionals across the Midlands and the Northern Home Counties.
