The ideal candidate for this position possesses the accounting experience, administrative skills, and technology expertise in order to work effectively and independently within a small accounting firm. The individual must demonstrate the ability to work with confidential information and exhibit a high degree of trustworthiness. The position requires a resourceful individual who can work autonomously. The candidate must be comfortable with ambiguity, take initiative, and demonstrate excellent follow–through. The position requires a team player with strong interpersonal skills, who is able to manage complex assignments. Candidate must be comfortable with multitasking and prioritization. Responsibilities Provide QuickBooks Online bookkeeping functions on a monthly basis for multiple small business clients, utilizing automation to perform basic tasks Manage client's accounts payable and accounts receivable, utilizing cloud–based automation software to perform data entry Assist with a wide variety of projects for our small business clients ranging from bookkeeping to tax to payroll set up Field client questions related to QuickBooks Online bookkeeping Manage deadlines, follow up emails, document requests, and overall client relationship management for the firm Be the point of contact by answering phones and greeting visitors Manage paperless office by scanning, organizing, and filing client documents both in paper and digital form Directly train clients in QuickBooks Online or various software applications, if interested Assist with client proposals, letters, and marketing activities Schedule appointments Work directly with the owner of the CPA firm Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field 3+ years of experience in related field Must have proven experience with QuickBooks Online Intuit Payroll experience a plus Strong organizational and analytical skills Detail oriented Previous experience as an Administrative Assistant preferred Basic understanding of individual and business tax forms preferred Goals of becoming a CPA or business advisor is gladly welcomed Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast–paced, deadline oriented environment Strong communication and professional client relations skills High level of professionalism, discretion and confidentiality
