As a vital member of deal teams, you will take a proactive approach to customer focus and productivity ensuring as far as possible that client timelines are met, combined with an ongoing assessment of process to ensure the credit risk process is as productive as possible.

This role supports a significant portfolio focusing on some of the more complex and larger clients and product suite in IB&M. You will ensure both individual and portfolio risks are managed within strategic business guidelines and organisational risk appetite.

Within IB&M Risk Management, the Securitisation Credit Risk team includes staff covering securitisation facilities for IB&M bank and non-bank FI clients, the Bank’s own securitisation programme (Medallion) and oversight of a securitisation bond portfolio held within Group Treasury.

In any given week you will

• Work as part of deal teams to analyse clients and structures, prepare credit submissions and provide risk recommendations. This will include providing guidance on deal structuring, approval processes and policies
• Proactively monitor and manage credit exposures as well as undertaking annual and other periodic reviews of securitisation facilities and other exposures. Part of the review processes involves participating in client visits to undertake reviews of files and to gain a better understanding of their policies and processes and responsible lending practices
• Present transactions as the accountable Risk Executive at various credit and business committee forums
• Understand the impact of industry issues and change in internal/external credit and regulatory environments on the quality of clients and structures in the portfolio
• Identify, monitor and escalate any credit deterioration and industry thematics across the portfolio

We're interested in hearing from people who:

• Relevant extensive experience in an institutional banking or risk management position
• Tertiary qualification (or equivalent) in a finance related discipline
• The ability to understand securitisation structures and their underlying assets and analyse the credit, product and operational risks on specific transactions
• Advanced presentation, verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with transaction execution and reviewing legal documentation is essential.
• Awareness of regulatory environment including Basel III and APRA requirements will also be desirable
