Accountant

Robert Half is working with a very well established and highly professional accountancy practice firm that works as the outsourced Accounts department for a number of SME businesses in Wakefield as well as providing VAT, annual accounting and business advice to over 40 further businesses varying from small SMEs to single individual businesses.

Due to their continuing growth, they are looking for an Accountant to join their bubbly and hard working team!

About the Client:

Our client is a forward-thinking company and the role is exciting and stimulating with the potential to change and evolve over time.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing several clients using various accounts system and for preparing and maintaining financial reports, Limited Company Annual Accounts, Sole Trader Accounts and individual's Self assessments.

Your role will be pivotal to our client's business and you will need to be accurate and reliable and provide excellent customer service.

About You:

• Directors, Sole Traders and Limited company Accounts preparation and Tax returns.
• You will be responsible for the preparation of monthly management accounts for a range of external clients.
• This will include bank reconciliations, fixed assets, prepayments and accruals.
• Preparation of monthly reconciliation's and schedules to support the trial balance.
• Co-ordinating with the client for reconciliation of supplier statements, processing supplier payments and issuing remittance advices.
• Support the client with the collation of monthly expenses and credit card transactions
• Some responsibility for overseeing Project Accounting, including working with Project Managers to establish robust cost control and reporting, to be able to maintain budgetary control over projects.

About You:

• The successful candidate must have previous experience in preparing Limited Company accounts, including submission to HMRC and Companies House.
• Experience working in Accountancy Practice for at least 4-5 years (UK)
• AAT Qualified or Qualified by experience
