This Commercial Finance Business Partner role is an opportunity to provide a commercial drive to Central Government Finance and provide the efficient approach paramount for delivery across the business.

This organisation are centrally based, and form a pivotal part of the function of the UK Central Government.

Description

The Finance Business Partner Team are focused on providing a high quality service and support to their key customers. These include management, budget holders from a non-finance background, Directors, Central Departments, and industry regulators. As the Commercial Finance Business Partner, you will :

  • Provide insight driven, high quality analysis to improve business performance.
  • Build budgets and forecasts taking into account current and future business performance, ensuring consistency with the future strategy of the business.
  • Provide accurate, timely and relevant financial information on which to base business decisions, with a focus on business oriented management reporting.

    The reputation of Finance across the business has improved in recent years, with this role being key to continuing this valued service. The successful delivery of the position requires a candidate with the following skills:

  • CCAB Qualified
  • Previously managed complex budgets and forecasts, having presented these to senior stakeholders
  • Professional, emotionally intelligent ability to challenge financial assumptions
  • Positive and delivery focused approach
  • Previously worked in a Central Government finance team would be strongly preferred
  • Security clearance at any level

    • Job Offer

    The successful Commercial Finance Business Partner will be paid a daily rate. Due to IR35 tax legislation in April 2017 this position will be INSIDE of scope, meaning the position will be paid via a PAYE or Umbrella route. Applicants will not be able to operate via a Ltd company.

    • Rate offered between £250 - 275 daily rate
    • Flexible working, with remote access granted
