Senior Financial Accountant

Our client is a top tier professional services organisation with City Centre offices, They are currently seeking to recruit a Senior Financial Accountant to join their team taking up a permanent position. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident and proactive Financial Accountant to work in a fast paced, collaborative and forward thinking organisation. Reporting to the financial controller, this position will encompass the following responsibilities: Management of Accounts Payable team Recommend opportunities to further develop and implement appropriate controls in accounts payable. Routine audit of all transactions Maintain controls and review where necessary Preparation of the monthly management accounts and responsible for month end balance sheet reconciliation's Developing KPI's and internal management reports on an ad hoc basis Variance analysis of actual to budget Preparation of expense budgets and forecasts Responsible for the preparation of statutory accounts Assist with the Firm's Irish, UK and New York tax computations Review of the fortnightly payroll Preparation of the monthly payroll and related returns Preparation of Irish and UK VAT returns Ad hoc projects throughout the year To be considered for this role, you will be highly self motivated and will take a proactive approach to your work. You will embrace a true team ethos and will be happy to mentor and develop junior team members whilst providing high level technical accounting advice to the business. Other attributes will include: ACCA or ACA Accountant with a minimum of 5 years PQE with proven experience in a fast paced working environment Confident self-starter with ability to work on own initiative Previous financial and management accounting experience is required with strong accounts preparation experience Ability to work to strict deadlines and under pressure High level of accuracy and attention to detail Team player with ability to communicate effectively Advanced Excel proficiency is a pre-requisite This is a permanent position that will offer a competitive market rate salary and a generous benefits package.
