Sr Finance Manager

The Academy of Scholars is an independent, Christian day school serving children from age 4 through grade 6. The Academy provides an environment of tradition and structure combined with innovation. The Academy of Scholars is always looking for qualified and experienced individuals. We currently have an opening for a Finance Manager to join our team. This position is a great opportunity for someone with experience in a variety of general bookkeeping, record keeping and administrative duties.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/TYPICAL TASKS:
The minimum performance expectations include, but are not limited to, the following functions/tasks:

  • Keeps an accurate record of all receipts
  • Works with 3rd party payroll vendor to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing
  • Maintains files for all purchases that require quotes
  • Collects and prepares expenditure data at the end of each month for records and reports
  • Maintains records and generates appropriate reports
  • Assists with the establishment of computer data involving the foregoing procedures and maintains the same
  • Prepares requisitions for funds as required by management
  • Performs related tasks as assigned by management in accordance with the school/policies and practices
  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
    Thorough knowledge of Business English, Spelling and Math:

  • Must be able to maintain accurate records on a variety of school accounts.
  • Must be able to meet the public effectively, and be proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have a Bachelor's Degree in accounting
  • 5+ years' work experience in accounting, financing, or bookkeeping
  • Base Salary Range and Additional Benefits:

    $45,000 – $60,000
    Benefits include health insurance, paid vacations and holidays.
