What You Will Do: As part of Transamerica's Consolidated Regulatory Financial Reporting team you will work on processes and analysis that relate to U.S. Regulatory and European reporting standards. Use your expertise to analyze data and be able to explain the results utilizing various data spreadsheet analysis tools.

What You Will Learn: In this role, you will gain exposure to Transamerica's Financial Reporting teams, while interacting with multi–functional groups within Finance. You will also have the ability to support different management initiatives, quarterly and annual forecasting, and ad hoc projects.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Performs professional financial analysis work, which involves: extracting financial data from various accounting and information systems, compilation, consolidation and appropriate analysis of financial data.
  • Analyzes financial data and brings issues to the attention of the appropriate person.
  • Determines appropriate methodology to prepare information for use by consumers of the data.
  • Participates in quarterly accounting processes to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Support the team to interpret financial transactions and events for users who must make economic or business decisions.
  • Identifies, participates and contributes ideas for success in relation to assigned work, projects or other process enhancements.
  • Develops and maintains financial reports/models for forecasting, trending, and actuals for analysis.
  • Understands the flow of information, financial systems, appropriate reporting tools and uses that knowledge to assist in determining solutions to problems.
  • Effectively applies fundamental concepts; works on assignments of moderate scope and complexity, with oversight; makes recommendations for changes to procedures, and performs varied work, requiring some originality or ingenuity.

  • What You Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (preferred) or Finance and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience, with degree.
  • Proficient computer skills. (e.g. Excel, Word, Power BI a plus)
  • Working knowledge of financial area preferred (for example, investments, and insurance products, premium) which includes statutory insurance reporting.
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing, ability to handle multiple projects, customer service approach, willingness to take on new projects.
  • Work effectively individually and within a team; organizational and prioritization skills.
