The project business analyst is responsible for analyzing and documenting project scope and requirements. The goal of the project business process analysis is to serve as a consultative resource to the project sponsor and business unit to understand and document current and future business procedures, while identify areas where straight through processing could be implemented. A thorough understanding of the current state of the organization is necessary prior to recommending changes related to implementing a new business solution. The project business analyst is responsible for the knowledge transfer of scoping and requirements to the project managers and project team throughout the project life cycle.


Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, uncover improvement opportunities, and assist with implementing solutions.
  • Perform feasibility analysis, scopes projects, and works with the project management team to prioritizes deliverables, and negotiate on product functionalities.
  • Create detailed Business Requirement Document (BRD) and translate it into functional specifications.
  • Participate in ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies.
  • Staying up–to–date on current process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems.
  • Conduct meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
  • Perform requirement analysis for the project
  • Document and communicate results of efforts.
  • Communicate your recommendation, insight and plan to cross–functional team members and management
  • Gather critical information from meetings with stakeholders and producing useful reports.
  • Work closely with clients, technicians, and managerial staff.
  • Allocate resources and maintaining cost efficiency and ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements.
  • Assist with monitor performance of project or initiative post implementation.
  • Update, implement and maintain procedures.
  • Serve as a liaison between stakeholders and users.
  • Manage compete resources and priorities.
  • Monitor deliverables and ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Provides analytic support by coordinating data extraction from various databases and data interpretation.
  • Partner with development and analytic teams to provide reporting on software solutions.
  • Participate in various testing scenarios in conjunction with the Quality Assurance team
Employment Eligibility


  • A bachelor's degree in business or IT.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Functional, Data or Business Analyst.
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
  • Advanced technical skills.
  • Excellent documentation skills.
  • Strong fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Ability to create detailed reports and giving presentations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Business Administration or related area.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Functional, Data or Business Analyst.
Scheduled Hours

Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm.
