The Production Accountant is responsible for performing and maintaining the production accounting functions at Telemundo Studios Miami. This position works closely with the production groups to ensure that processes established by Telemundo Television Studios are in place and functioning as designed. The Senior Production Accountant is also responsible for supporting and financial reporting of scripted productions with the understanding of policies, procedures, and practices to ensure compliance with NBC Standards and Practices. This position is also responsible for carrying out the Company Operating Plan and assuring production budgets are met.
Responsibilities:•Ensure data integrity exists between Vista 5, Accion TV and SAP systems by auditing and approving all cost coding •Works closely with Finance in preparing Bi–weekly forecasting and cost projection reports with its respective variance explanation•Preparation of Ad–Hoc budgets and presentation to the Executive team and Finance for approval •Prepares general ledger entries such as reclasses, labor offset and accruals and reviews show trial balance respectively•Track and analyze fil tax credit information including liaise with auditors•Supervise and oversee the Production Coordinator–Not sure if Elizabeth will be ok with this. •Reports into General Producer and Finance – Not needed in the JD. •Review, approve and consolidates all vendor payments, P–Cards transactions and petty cash custodianship•Maintains an organized accounting record keeping adhering to Financial Policies and Procedures •Identify improvement opportunities to the forecast and budgeting process that drive efficiencies in the organization•Other duties as assigned by supervisors


Basic Qualifications
•Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or other related fields
•Minimum 2 years of experience in the Finance television production field
•Strong analytical, problem–solving and organization skills
•Ability to meet critical deadlines by balancing and prioritizing multiple tasks in a fast–paced environment
•Detail–oriented with previous work experience in financial planning and analysis preferred
•Experienced in using financial/accounting software and applications
•Experience with SAP preferred
•Knowledgeable of GAAP policies
•Strong proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint
•Must be fully fluent in Spanish & English

Eligibility Requirements:
•Willingness to travel with short notice and on weekends
•Willingness to work flexible hours including late and/or last–minute scheduling changes in a 24/7 production work environment
•Must be willing to work in the greater Miami, Florida area
•Must be 18 years or older
•Must have a valid driver's license
•Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
•Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU's Alternative Dispute Resolution Program
